My Observations about Soft Cell's Non-Stop Exotic Video Show

I was so excited because I have finally gotten Soft Cell's Non-Stop Exotic Video Show! Thank you Elaine! <3 This is what I think would be the last final installment of the "Non-Stops" of Soft Cell (can be seen on the back of the DVD cover) This is pure art at its best. Soft Cell takes you on a journey of their unpredictable insane world of art and music. Where you have Marc Almond and Dave Ball having loads of fun in the music videos. Like Pet Shop Boys music videos, Soft Cell's videos aren't suppose to really make no sense at all, but just making an art project with people they knew and having cameos by Mari Wilson, Cindy X, and their old manager Stevo. The videos are mostly from Soft Cell's Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret and Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing. From "Tainted Love" to all the way to their last Top Ten hit, "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" which hit number three. Even though the band went their separate ways back in 1984 then came back in the 2000 and officially went their separate ways and one doesn't speak to the other, this DVD/VHS holds many priceless gems and precious memories of a fantastic band.
A band who was one of the originals and have quite an achievement. Being the first band to have an Brit Award, had the first techno record ever: "Memorabilia", "Tainted Love" held a record for spending the most weeks which was forty-three in America Hot 100 and was the best British single of the year of 1981. And was also the first band to be also in a small mini cook show, The Cookery Year. Which was the same year Pet Shop Boys became a band back in August 19, 1981.Now you see how they became a band along with their creative ability and knowledgeable to art. "Without Soft Cell‚" says Neil Tennant "there wouldn't have been the Pet Shop Boys. Soft Cell made us realise we could form a group." Soft Cell was also part of the New Romantics movement in the 1980's. Some people can easily forget about this particular band, but fans like myself will never forget this awesome nucleus that was Soft Cell. From time to time, you would hear several musicians talk about Soft Cell or Marc Almond such as Pet Shop Boys, Andrew Ridgeley, Mick Hutnall, and many others. This DVD or VHS is worth buying in my best opinion, you definitely would get a kick out of this! It also have bits where Marc and Dave are talking after certain videos. Soft Cell may have been gone, but several artist were definitely were influenced by their abilities of expression.
